Who is Sisster108?
Hello there! I'm Amanda Marsh, also known as Sisster108, and I'm a one-woman show.
My photography journey began when I was two years old and my mom gave me a disposable camera to run around the house with. Lovingly so, my mom still has those photos in one of my many scrapbooks.
However it was around when I was 13 years old when I began to take it a bit more seriously. My mom gave me her old pink point-and-shoot camera to run around the neighborhood with my best friend. From there, I upgraded to my Canon and have never looked back.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest gave me this unique experience to learn to work with nature. I am able to share with my friends and family how I see the world.
Outside of the photography world?
I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Criminology, Law, and Justice at the University of Chicago-Illinois. I research prison and jail education programs. My passion for my research and my dedication to help others, are the forces that drive me. I am grateful enough that my passion for photography overlaps with my research at times.
I am married to truly the most loving and caring man in the world. We have been together since we were 20 years old and have never looked back.
I do have a pet gecko who I love to pieces. While she doesn’t really reciprocate my love for her, I truly am so grateful for her in my life.
